Set adjacent to the skeleton of a humpback whale, this whaleboat is displayed in one of the rooms of the New Bedford Whaling Museum. The accompanying placard indicates that the boat was the larboard boat from the John R. Manta of New Bedford on it's 1925 voyage--- which was the last American whaling voyage under sail and the last successful whaling voyage from New Bedford.
