A small grove in Cupertino honoring the 100 years of Rotary International.

The grove is made up of young trees. It sits in the middle of the Cupertino Civic Center (between city hall and the library.) The plaque reads: "Rotary Heritage Grove - Presented as a gift to our community by the Rotary Club of Cupertino in honor of the 100th anniversary of Rotary International - May 2005."

About Rotary International: Rotary International is an organization of service clubs known as Rotary Clubs. The organization has over 32,000 clubs and over 1.2 million members worldwide. The organization's purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. The organization was formed in Chicago in 1905. It was formed by Mr. Paul P. Harris. By 1912 clubs had spread to Canada and by 1912, they reached Europe.
