A popular place for weddings, this surface orientation "table" shows various things you can see (on a clear day) and some things you cannot see from this viewpoint. Made of 2 colored concrete, the center compass rose has a face in its sun center. Surrounding it is a border of concrete raised objects found commonly in the desert, lizards, cactus, snakes, birds etc. Outside of this is a border listing with the elevation various landmarks with their approximate direction. Although it contains a compass rose, it does give direction of various items visible from this viewpoint and includes altitude.
Things you can see from this point, listed on the orientation "table" include ASU, Tempe Butte, Papago Buttes, Camelback Mountain, McDowell Mountains, Four Peaks, and the Superstition Mountains. Among the things listed that you cannot see are Roosevelt Dam, Mazatzal Mountains and Chandler.
