The Avalon Dairy has been a Vancouver tradition since 1906. Located on the original farm site that Jeremiah Crowley had a herd of dairy cows, the area around urbanized while the cows went to Barnston Island. It is a certified organic dairy.

While the cows have left long ago, the dairy continues to operate producing milk in glass bottles. Being a small producer Avalon Dairy sees niche markets in milk and cheese products and quickly certified itself organic to be the Lower Mainland's prime producer of this type of milk.
