Sophia's Place is a small little place featuring New Mexico style food. It's one of those spots that you might never choose to stop at if someone hadn't told you how incredible the food was. It was featured in the show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

This small restaurant was featured in Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in a regional classics episode. Sophias features delicious New Mexico style food and you can definitely get your green chile fix here.
We were there for breakfast and enjoyed a delicious green chile smothered breakfast burrito stuffed with pulled smoky pork, salsa, fried potatoes and scrambled egg. Also enjoyed was some wonderful french toast made with artisan bread and topped with strawberries. Definitely a great stop that we will remember.
A side note: While riding the tram down from Sandia peak we heard a tourist ask a local who was out on a date what his favorite local spot was - he said without hesitating "Sophia's. Definitely Sophia's. It's the best New Mexican food in town."
