This is a disused RAF Radar Station in Wick Near Pershore Worcestershire. Named RAF Comberton due to the RAF station in Scotland with the same name so therefore was named after the Next closest village. It is said to have been one of only 4 or 5 of it's type used during the second world war and I think due to the closeness of both RAF Defford and RAF Pershore (Throckmorton) It must have had an important role to play. It is now part of a farm in wick and the buildings are used for storing machinery and grain. Having play here as a child in the 70's and 80's from what I can remember the tall building was marked as 'Radar Room' There was a gate house with wood burning stove and a long Billet block. There are still large concrete pads in the fields around but not sure what they were used for.
