Thames has paved approximately 10 km of path along the coast. Perfect for walking, cycling, skateboarding, etc. Stop at the Bird Hide and watch the oystercatchers and dotterel hunting for crabs and shellfish. You will also see the remanents of the old Bourke St Wharf. At Kuranui Park is a gazebo, built by Thames Rotary, which has a free BBQ.
On Sundays, take a ride on the miniature railroad.
Dog walkers are welcome on the walkway and have been provided for with litter bags and bins.
