The Brno Technical Museum illustrates - through its thirteen permanent exhibitions - the development of science and technology.The scattered exhibition "Time above Us and around Us" features, among other things, a tower clock which is situated by the entrance. The "Historical Stereovision" on show is the only working original device of its kind in Central Europe. The exhibited "Historical Vehicles" provide an insight into the history and manufacturing of motor vehicles in Moravia. "Water Engines" illustrate the use of wheels in propelling water mills, pumps and turbines. The display "Steam Engines" offers one of the first Parsons turbines to be used in Europe, whereas the exhibition "History of Flying and Plastic Modelling" presents models as well as real planes, which document the history of flying. The exhibitions "Ferrous Metallurgy", "Metal Foundering" and "Cutlerymaking" tell the story of metals and their processing. An African signal drum introduces the exhibition "From Tam-tams to the Internet "which documents the development of communication technology. The "Culture of the Blind"exhibition acquaints visitors with life of people with poor sight. The "Salon of Mechanical Music" offers, for instance, pianolas and mechanical music boxes. Situated in the "Lane of Crafts", a host of artisan workshops, a grocery, a dental surgery and a pub all recall the urban environment of the 1920s and the 1930s.The "Technical Play Room"with a number of interactive work places is reserved for young and adult visitors alike.

Technické muzeum v Brne prezentuje ve trinácti stálých expozicích vývoj vedy a techniky. Soucástí rozptýlené expozice "Cas nad námi a kolem nás" je vežní hodinový stroj u vstupu. "Historická stereovize" predstavuje jediný provozuschopný originál tohoto zarízení ve strední Evrope. "Historická vozidla" nabízejí pohled do historie a výroby motorových vozu na Morave. "Vodní motory" vypovídají o využití kol používaných k pohonu mlýnu, cerpadel a turbín. V expozici "Parní motory" se nachází jedna z prvních Parsonsových turbín v Evrope. V expozici "Letecké historie a plastikového modelárství" približují modely i skutecné stroje minulost letectví. Historii kovu a jejich zpracování mapují expozice "Železárství", dále "Kovolitectví" a "Nožírství". Africký signální buben avizuje expozici "Od tamtamu k internetu" dokumentující vývoj sdelovací techniky. "Kultura nevidomých" seznamuje s životem zrakove postižených. V "Salonu mechanické hudby" lze zhlédnout napr. pianoly a mechanické hrací strojky. Remeslné dílny, koloniál,zubní ordinace ci hospoda v "Ulicce remesel" pripomínají mestské prostredí 20. a 30. let 20. století. Malým i velkým je urcena "Technická herna" s radou interaktivních pracovišt pro pokusy.
