This Ancient Churchyard Cross is mounted on a three step square stone base and was restored in 1897 in memory of Rev. Charles Lewis Cornish, vicar of St.Giles' church from 1841 to 1846. The restoration consisted of replacing the cross atop the column as seen in the full view. A bronze plaque commemorates this restoration.

Some ancient graffiti is visible on the base, the letters \HH and date 1656 on the chamfered top, and letters TFB on the eastern face.
