Dedicated on the first anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center this memorial is on the edge of the car park area of the arboretum. Within the plaque monument is debris from the Twin Towers entrusted to the arboretum from the British Fire and Rescue Services. This was donated from the Firefighters in the USA.
Two giant Redwood trees have been planted here to represent the Twin Towers together with English Oak, a Scots Pine, a Welsh Yew, an Irish Strawberry tree and an American Black Oak.
The memorial is a tribute to those who died as a result of the terrorist attack.
