The Edmond Amateur Radio Society's repeater site is located on the City of Edmond's tower on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma, and operates on a frequency of 147.135.

The DB224E vertical antenna is up 400 ft. and has a good 50 mile radius range of operation. The repeater is a GE Master II, crystal-operated repeater.

The Edmond Amateur Radio Society, Inc. (EARS) began in 1957 and currently occupies a suite of offices in the Edmond Community Center, and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Membership is approximately 100, with members from towns throughout the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The original call of KC5ORP was changed in 2000 to a vanity call K5EOK (Kilo Five Edmond Oklahoma).

EARS is proud to fulfill ARRL Special Service Club requirements, including licensing classes, liaison with the City of Edmond's emergency management activities, and community service. The Club monitors the 30+ tornado sirens throughout town one Saturday a month and conducts a Siren Test Net. Members enjoy supporting the community with communications and parade staging for 4 parades throughout the year.

The Club sponsors the long-running Monday Night Information Net on 147.135, the monthly VHF/HF Elmer Net on 147.135 and 28.390, and the Route 66 10-10 Net on 28.390 on Monday evenings.
