This building was built in 1899 and J.W. Whistler and others opened the Citizens State Bank in 1899. On April 25, 1911, the bank converted to a national charter and became the First National Bank of Braman. The upstairs was used for the Eastern Star and Masons. In the 1920's a new bank was built across the street and the old bank building was used for a Post Office until 1976 when a new Post office was built. Now the building is used for the Braman Area Historical Society and in the back room it's used for the Meals on Wheels where seniors meet for lunch and on Sundays it's used for the Baptist church services since their church closed and sold.
