The Peace Pole was erected on August 29, 2006. There is wonderful vista from here downto Pardubice basin, over most of East Bohemia and in good visibility the horizon is framed with Eagle and Giant Mountains ranges.
Just next to the Peace Pole is small Observatory Tower Boiika, named after the Celtic Boii's tribe, formers inhabitants of Czech basin. Not far from here were excavated remnants of former Celtic oppidum.
