Anchor is located among many nautical and maritime displays and artifacts in Canal Park, Duluth MN. Canal park is a must see place, located on the shores of Lake Superior and the Port of Duluth. Visitors can observe, up close, ships from over the world enter and leave the port. Also at the park is a boardwalk, paved biking trail, restaurants, vendors, Aerial Lift Bridge, tugboat, benches, Lake Superior Maritime Marine Museum and so much more.

Unique apparatus invented by Duluth's
Captain Alexander McDougall for use on
his whaleback ships. About fifty appear
to have produced at the American
Steelbarge Company Shipyard in Superior
This one was recoved in 1977 from the
wreck of the Thomas Wilson, sunk in 1902.
Salvaged by Robert and Randy Bradford,
Al Kennedy, Judy Ferrell and Elmer Engman.
