This eagle centre is located with the Deer Mountain Tribal Hatchery. Their mission is to "promote public service through conservation, education, and stewardship of the indigenous birds and fish of Southeast Alaska." At the time of our visit there were two bald eagles here. One had a broken wing and the other had been shot, but both were on their way to recovery and release.
