The Cairn of Peace is a unique memorial that brings a peaceful message. It is not devoted neither to heroic victors nor to courageous defeated ones, it was built to honour all victims of the memorable Battle of Austerlitz (2nd December 1805). The project was initiated by priest A. Slovák. His vision was to transform the previous battlefield into a pious place that represents hope and memento of wars. (On national holidays, commemoration days and during July and August the Cairn of Peace is festively illuminated).
The Cairn of Peace is a dominat feature and natural centre of the protected historical monument area “Battle of Austerlitz”. Every year, in the beginning of December, a pious act in the honour of the fallen soldiers takes place in the area surrounding the monument which is the climax of the commemorative events of the anniversary of the battle.
Multimedia exposition “The Battle of the Three Emperors. Slavkov / Austerlitz 1805" can be seen in newly renovated museum besides The Cairn of Peace. This exposition is conceived in a very unusual enriching way that brings unforgettable experience. It depicts the war campaign of 1805 that culminated in the Batlle of Austerlitz not only as a historical moment but also as an alive historical phenomena. It shows the French victory and political and military glory of the then France but also the seamy side of it. Visitors have a choice of commentary in five languages (Czech, French, German, Russian and English). The first part „Before the battle“ describes the era from the French revolution to the eve of the Battle of Austerlitz. The second part „The Battle“ enables visitors to emotionally re-live the battle again.The third part „About the Battle“ presents the actual course of the battle through a computer animation. The dominating elements of the final part "After the Battle" are the spatial and audio reconstruction of the famous painting that depicts the meeting of the emperors Napoleon and Franz after the battle at Spálený mlýn (Burnt-down mill) and the video projection in which the exhibition culminates. Besides all the exhibits there are also monitors and a touch-screen with a database of texts, illustrations, animations and film scenes. Visitors can therefore choose from many pieces of information that they are interested in.

Mohyla míru je historicky ojedinelým válecným památníkem - s mírovým posláním. Není venován ani hrdinným vítezum ci statecným poraženým, nýbrž byl vybudován na pocest všech obetí legendární bitvy u Slavkova ze dne 2. 12. 1805. Stalo se tak na pocátku 20. století podle zámeru kneze A. Slováka jako naplnení jeho myšlenky ucinit z centra nekdejšího bojište pietní „místo svetla“, memento válek. (O státních a církevních svátcích a významných dnech a také po celý cervenec a srpen je památník slavnostne osvetlen.)
Mohyla míru je dominantou i prirozeným stredem chránené památkové zóny Slavkovské bojište. V areálu památníku probíhá každorocne na prelomu listopadu a prosince pietní akt k uctení padlých jako vyvrcholení vzpomínkových akcí k výrocí bitvy.
V renovovaném muzejním objektu sousedícím s památníkem mohou návštevníci shlédnout multimediální expozici „Bitva trí císaru. Slavkov / Austerlitz 1805“. Tato expozice je koncipována netradicne a prináší poucení i silný nevšední zážitek. Pojímá vojenské tažení roku 1805, jež vyvrcholilo bitvou u Slavkova, jako historickou událost, ale také jako živý dejinný fenomén. Expozice približuje nejen slavné francouzské vítezství, vojenskou a politickou slávu doby, ale i její rub. Technické rešení, umožnuje návštevníkum volit nekterý z peti jazyku komentáre - ceštinu, francouzštinu, nemcinu, ruštinu a anglictinu. První cást expozice, „Pred bitvou“, zahrnuje období od vypuknutí Francouzské revoluce až po predvecer bitvy. Druhá cást, „Bitva“, poskytuje návštevníkum emocionální prožitek bitvy, který je v tretí cásti „O bitve“ završen prezentací prubehu bitvy prostrednictvím pocítacové animace. Dominantním prvkem ctvrté cásti „Po bitve“ je prostorová a audiovizuální rekonstrukce známého obrazu, zachycujícího setkání císaru Napoleona a Františka po bitve u Spáleného mlýna, a videoprojekce, kterou expozice vrcholí. Vedle rady exponátu jsou v expozici umísteny také monitory a dotyková obrazovka s databází textu, ilustrací, animací a filmových scén, kde si mohou návštevníci volit informace, o které mají zájem.
