Built in 1740, the Ermida de São Sebastião in Praça Miguel Bombarda, now houses the Exposição de Arte Sacra and holds various items of 15th, 16th and 17th century sacred art from around Albufeira.
There is an image of São Sebastião on the baldaquin in the chapel centre with images of S.Francisco Xavier and S.Domingos either side.

A rather mutilated 'Pieta' at the entrance is believed to come from Nossa Senhora da Piedade, an old Albufeiran chapel, whilst there are more items in the nave. They include a 15th century image of Nossa Senhora da Orada, a 16th century picture of the Resurrection thought to come from the Old Parish Church, and images of S.Francisco de Assis, S.Bento, S.Brás and Nossa Senhora da Conceição. The glazed tile panels are 17th century and come from the Old Parish Church, destroyed in the 1755 earthquake.

The North Room used to be the sacristry and contains more artefacts, the bell above this room would have been rung by the priest to indicate a service about to start. The bell now appears to have no method of ringing it.

The South Room contains a model of the old castle and some old postcards and photographs of old Albufeira. There is a recent statue of S.Vincent de Albufeira who was martyred in Japan in 1632, and some items relating to his martyrdom.

S.Vincent was born in 1590 in Albufeira and became a priest in 1617. After travelling to Mexico and, in 1622, to the Philippines. In 1623 he went to Japan as a missionary where Christians were being fiercely prosecuted and he needed to adopt disguises to carry out his mission. After six years he was denounced and imprisoned in Nagazaqui and Omura. It was customary to torture Christians in the sulphurous waters of the Unzen Lagoon near Harima and S.Vincent was no different. He was burned at the stake on 3rd September 1632 and beatified in 1867 by Pope Pius IX.
