ENG: This military museum is located inside an old fort.
Founded in 1936, first gathered in connection with an estate Portugal's participation in WWI. In this collection came together pieces that testify to other conflicts, including World War II campaigns and the occupation of the former overseas territories. There are about 3000 objects grouped into clusters as the Weapon, Art of war, African Art, art and photographic arts.

A este acervo juntaram-se peças que testemunham outros conflitos, nomeadamente a II Guerra Mundial e as campanhas de ocupação dos antigos territórios ultramarinos. São cerca de 3000 objectos agrupados em núcleos como o Armamento, Arte na guerra, Arte africana, Arte fotográfica e Artes plásticas.
