Vicente Larrea was born in Bilbao, Spain, in 1934. He is a sculptor and painter (also known as Echániz Larrea). He began his training at the School of Arts and Crafts Achuri, combined with stays in France with the sculptor Raymond Dubois in Solesmes. Professor of sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in his city, most of his work is spread over the Basque country, mainly in Vizcaya province, where he currently carries out its work within an artistic trend markedly abstract and monumental.
