Building of the former Class of Conde de Ferreira, or one room school Conde Ferreira whose construction began in 1871, coming to be inaugurated on November 20 the following year. It seems to be the first building among all 120 schools of public instruction established by the will of the benefactor Joaquim Ferreira dos Santos, Conde de Ferreira (1782-1866), made in Porto on March 15, 1866. These establishments, one room school center, all with a similar architectural design and addressing housing for teachers, were on the whole, the broader plan to build a legacy of private schools. A sidewalk near the building of the old school bears the name of the distinguished tester.
Only in the early seventies of the twentieth century, the building's old school ceases to serve as primary school.
