This maybe the oldest Town Pound in the US. It's at the corner of Pound Rd and Chopmist Hill Rd (Route 102) about 0.8 miles south of US 44 in Glocester, Rhode Island.

The Glocester Town Pound was built in 1749 by Andrew Brown, Esq. and was added to the National Historic Register in 1970. The stone walls are about 7 feet high.
