From Idaho all the way to Yellowstone National Park, the hotspot for the supervolcano that is in Yellowstone was once here. This National Monument preserves the remains of an ancient volcanic field.

Open year-round from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. (8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Memorial Day through Sept. 12); Closed on federal holidays during the winter.
