On July 3, 1976, in our Nation's Bicentennial year, the people of this state remembered its signers of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States by inducting them into the South Carolina Hall of Fame.
We will forever cherish the contributions they made to our freedom; and we honor their memory for the glory they brought to South Carolina.
The bell was donated by VG Arnette, Jr
A mason of Florence, SC on January 25, 1876, the day before he passed away.
