Brunissard is a hamlet at the foot of the Col d'Izoard (2360 m). A vacation condo (Maison a Arcades) La Girondole, has a fine subdial painted by Remi Potey in 1997. As with many of Remi Potey's works, the painting is more important than the sundial.
Here the overhanging balcony above casts a shadow over the dial when we visited in May 2005. The motto translates as "Time to take a break at Des Girandoles for the sweetness of freedom".
