Wildcat Stadium; Plainfield Central High School - Plainfield, IL - Illuminated School Sports Fields on Waymarking.com

Wildcat Stadium replaces the football field destroyed in the 1990 Plainfield Tornado of 1990 - which was the only Plainfield high school at the time. Football players practicing on the field received enough warning to take shelter in the school before the F5 tore through the field and gymnasium. The view of this photo is the direction the tornado took through the rest of Plainfield.

Construction of the consession stand and the west side seating occured in 2005 and 2007 respectively.

The Green and White theme of the Plainfield Central campus predominates the field as well.

Besides football in the fall, the stadium hosts track and field events during the spring sports season.
