The Orpheum Theatre is a Spanish Baroque designed building by Phoenix architects Lescher & Mahoney. It opened in 1929 as a vaudeville theater. It's current owner, the City of Phoenix, oversaw its $14 million restoration, completed 1997. The Orpheum was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
