This is a great rail watching location. It is on a main line of Norfolk Southern with a good deal of activity. There is a diesel fueling station within view and other things nearby to see trains operating. While in the museum, there are lots of train things to see and do while waiting for trains to pass by. Knowledgeable guides are here as well that can add to your rail watching experience.
While here we saw an executive train, three trains passing on the lines at once, and a variety of locomotives operating.
