Pyhän Ristin kirkko (Church of The Holy Cross) is a beautiful old church.

It is addressed as the oldest church in the province of Häme. It was built between 14th and 15th century. It has been a popular pilgrimage destination in the Middle Age.
The church represents Gothic style and the structure is three-nave. The church layout it symmetrical and it forms a Latin cross.
Church walls are covered with the wall paintings that were made between 1514 to 1516. They describe the events from the Bible and the stories of the saints.
The pulpit in the church is the oldest one in Finland. It was made in 1550.
The church is open during summer (15.5.-15.8.) between 11-17 o'clock. There's no entry fee but you can ask for a guided tour that costs 3 euros per person.
