The Northamptonshire Union Bank was established in 1836 in Northampton and branches became evident throughout the county. It was the private banking business of John & Samuel Percival. In 1880 the bank became a limited liability and eventually stopped issuing notes in 1885. There were 25 branches and sub-branches and the bank was acquired by the National Provincial & Union Bank of England Ltd in 1920.

This bank in Weedon subsequently became the Nat West Bank which closed soon after 1982. Then an antiques shop moved in, a flower shop and today it is a record shop: (visit link)

There are some interesting features on the building with a phoenix crest and some chimera on the ends of the facade.
