The large outcroppings of red sandstone keeps the sound focused on the audience. It was completed by the Civilian Conservation Corp in 1941, between two 300ft monoliths. All genres have performed here, from rock to folk to heavy metal. Easter Sunrise services and wedding receptions are also held here. Geologically, this is part of the same formation that gave rise to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs (see WM4MPW) and the Flatirons in Boulder.
