This paved trail winds along the edge of the Chattahoochee River. There are several access points along the trail. One is located at 575 Riverside Dr.

This trail explores a floodplain of the Chattahoochee River, including a forested wetland, then joins “the Hooch” for a hike along its riverbank. For more than 20 years the Chattahoochee Outdoor Center was the summer fun capital for rafting enthusiasts in Atlanta. Each weekend thousands of people would visit the center, located at the start of this hike, and take a leisurely float down the Chattahoochee River to one of two takeouts further south. They were forced to close in 2002 because of high levels of E. coli (an indication of dangerous pollution) in the Chattahoochee.
