Get your passport stamped at the campground office where you can also pick up a passport, if you need one.
In the off season, go to the ranger station off Nimowin Rd (N50 01.379 W96 51.918).

Birds Hill Park has so much to offer. Five Self-Guiding walking trails (10.2 km) including one that is paved, 7.2 km of paved and 20.5 km of unpaved bicycle trails, 65 km of other hiking trail. Many are multi-use for horseback riding or horse-drawn vehicles as well. In winter, there are 30 km of groomed cross-country ski trails & there are shelters with wood stoves and fire wood along several trails.

Other activities including swimming in a large man-made lake, fishing off the handicap-accessible dock at Kingfisher Lake which is stocked with brown and rainbow trout, strolling across meadows filled with wild flowers, gathering wild fruit such as chokecherries, saskatoons, wild plums and high bush cranberries or just picnicking in one of the numerous picnic areas.

Park vehicle permits are not required in Manitoba's provincial parks until May 1, 2011. There will be free park entry into our provincial parks in 2009 and 2010.
