Since 1987, the Ronald McDonald House of Long Branch, has provided a place for families to stay together while the children are treated at nearby Monmouth Medical Center. It was a local McDonald owner, Ernie George, who was also a member of the local Rotary Club of Long Branch, that began the quest to open the Ronald McDonald House. Together with the Monmouth Medical Center, this house has been serving the community for over 20 years.
