One small municipality of 5600 people called Kerimäki has the worlds largest wooden church. Church have seats to 5000 people.
"church of Kerimäki is possibly the fourth or fifth church of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation, which was established in 1642. The new church was designed by the architect A. F. Granstedt. The construction was completed on September 25th 1847 and the church was consecrated at Whitsun, on June 11th 1848.
The church of Kerimäki is the world’s largest Christian wooden church and has the most spacious interior in Finland. It is 45 meters long, 42 meters wide and 27 meters high. The height of the dome is 37 meters. There are altogether 1670 metres of pews and a seating capacity for over 3000 people. Including standing room, the church can accomodate almost 5000 people." from website below
