Panská skála (The Manor's Rock) is a geological National natural monument near town Kamenický Šenov (North Bohemia). This famous basalt rock formation is the most beautiful an rare example of columnar cleat of this igneous mineral in our country and the oldest Geological Reserve on the Czech territory (since 1895).
The regular penta- and hexagonal basalt columns reach a height of 12 meters and a diameter of 20 - 40 cm. The formation originated in the tertiary when the lava flow solidified. Below the rock is a small lake. The rock's shape resembles an organ, which is the name given to the rock by common people - Kamenné varhany (The Stone Organ).
