This marker was placed here by township officials to celebrate the new millennium. Local citizenry as well as elected officials had a hand in devising its contents. As already stated, it will be opened in 2100. This town is one of the original 104 townships set up in New Jersey, formed on June 17, 1767 and incorporated on February 21, 1798.

This marker sits on township property at the municipal building out front. There is also a war memorial as well which is pretty nice too. This is also the home of the local police department so if you are going to take pics, do it quick and leave so as to not arouse undo suspicion. From the road, the war memorial sits out front in the center on a patch of lawn before the parking lot. To the right of it is the millennium marker.
