This is a small motor ferry across the Rhine 10 kilometers East of Basel. It connects Kaiseraugst and the German village of Herten from April to October.
To enter the ferry you have to pass this little wooden hut.
The hours of operation are somehow complicated:
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (June, July, August): 14.00 - 17.00
Wednesday (April - September): 14.00 - 17.00
Saturday (April - October): 14.00 - 17.00 Uhr
Sunday and Holidays (April - October): 10.30 - 12.00 / 13.00 - 18.00
No service when there is fog or flood.
