The Blunt Family have been building boats in Williamstown since 1880, and on this site since 1926.

Blunt's began their boatbuilding business in Geelong in 1858.
Thet then moved to a nearby site in Williamstown, before moving to this site in 1926.
The Site contains a slipway cradles and a steaming machine for shaping marine timbers of historical significance.
When Clen & Arthur Blunt managed the business, a client neglected to retreive his boat. Frustrated with it taking up space, Arthur recycled it into wood needed for their new pier.
The owner reappeared some time later and inknowingly lent against the pier, resting his foot on what was once the boat's keel and hollered "Where's my bloody boat!"
