This camp is also a geocache. There is a cabin logbook and a geocache container with a logbook for that. About 50 feet from the cabin is a toilet seat cover on a pole over a hole. About 200 yards behind the cabin is a hunters tree stand, a tower about 40 feet high, that is even farther into the swamp at N 42° 59.691 W 071° 06.300.
Inside the cabin are 2 benches, sized about big enough for a person to sleep on, along the North and South wall. A small table against the East wall. And a wood stove near the West wall which also has the door. On one of the shelves is a small cardboard box with a death certificate and containing the ashed of Robert Cormier, apparently a hunter who loved this place.

The cabin has been visited be people every month of the year, it's murder when the swamp is not frozen, and even then it's hard to get to, sometimes since the swamp will not freeze if there is a good layer of snow on top of it.

I have visited it several times, a winter December, January, February, a winter March and a spring March.

To get to the cabin, one has to hike along the rail trail for about 1 mile if coming from the South West near the Library, or about 0.75 miles if coming from the North East trail-head. When perpendicular to the cabin, there is a small peninsula that one can bushwhack from, near N 42° 59.777 W 071° 06.463, but don't try that extremely nasty bushwhack. Several hundred feet up the trail is another peninsula at N 42° 59.873 W 071° 06.337 that one can call a good camping spot. From here, head out into the swamp, not towards the cabin, for about 400 yards to N42 59.832 W071 06.264, then turn right and head towards the cabin for about 400 more yards. The point where one turns has some fire tacks on a few trees.
