The most popular Kiwi summer Blues festival in New Zealand, held annually at three venues each summer features a day out, with blues music, food stalls and wine tasting.
Held every summer in the open air, these festivals are centred around a huge stage, with performers entertaining the crowds with easy listening music with a strong 'blues' flavour. The festivals have seen many of the country's best performers lining up to entertain the crowds including icons such as 'Hello Sailor', 'The Winch Brothers', 'Midge Marsden', 'Darcy Perry Blues Band', 'Darren Watson', 'The Coalrangers', 'Bullfrog Rata'. There is even the occasional international artist such as Geoff Lang and the Australian duo 'Wizard & Oz' appeared at a recent Mount Maunganui festival.
Three festivals are scheduled for the summer of 2010.......

* Hastings - Saturday 23rd January 2010
* Blenheim - Saturday 6th February 2010
