Kings Park is a major and large recreational park to the south west of the city of Perth. In the park there are several locations which have an excellent view of the city, which is approximately 1.5kms distant over the Swan River.
The two accompanying photographs in the gallery were taken from the eastern side of the The State War Memorial Precinct, to the rear of the State War Memorial. From this vantage point the CBD of the city can be seen, along with the southern junction of the freeway system, and the Narrows Bridge, which crosses the Swan River. During the day the view is spectacular, at night even better. At any time there will be 'serious' amateur photographers taking pictures from this location.
