The building on the right is the original building built in 1918. The "new" location is of a type of construction that was common in the late 1800's.

Boone is located along Rt. 96. There is a train station across 96. The town would have grown to the south and these buildings would have been a part of the business district. When the railroad left and the new road was put in, a lot of buildings were probably torn down.

Inside the first building is something that looks like a printing press. The building that is used now appears to be pretty active on Saturday nights judging by the tire tracks in the dirt parking lot.

None of the streets are paved except for Rt. 96 through town. The old train depot is still there across the road and is in pretty good condition. It's a pleasant, although old, town. One thing I noticed is a lot of birds singing.
