The chapel is described here:
(visit link)

'Roxton Chapel was originally founded by Charles James Metcalf, the Lord of the Manor. He converted the chapel from a barn and later added two wings. The Chapel became a Congregational Chapel in 1822.

The Congregationalists did not intend that their churches should look like other churches and this chapel looks like an attractive small "cottage ornee" in the gothic style. The chapel has a deep thatched roof, a colonnade of tree trunks and white rendered walls.

The first resident minister was Mr. Nottage, followed by the Rev. T. Chapman.

In 1941 the Rev. David Protheroe gave a stained glass window "The Good Samaritan" in memory of his son. In the same year Mr. Bath of Roxton Park gave an organ.'
