The Exhibition Art Gallery building dates back to 1925 during The New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition. It is the only remaining world's fair building in New Zealand after having hosted four world's fairs.

Opened in 1925 for the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition this building today houses the headquarters of the popular rugby team The Highlanders.
Sadly it is currently under threat of being torn down. This is a concern for heritage groups that have noted this is the only remaining world's fair building in New Zealand.
