Ada was my husband's great-grandmother. He was lucky enough to have known her well into his adulthood, so we have many anecdotes and bits of wisdom from her 102 years of knowledge.
Born in 1878 on a farm outside of Englishtown, New Jersey, she saw many changes throughout her life. She has been quoted as saying "Times have changed." as she rocked in her porch chair when men landed on the moon.
Her headstone sits on the Johnson family plot in Woodlawn Cemetery in Lakewood, on the corner of Clifton Avenue and County Line Road.
