Located just off of Hwy 12 bewteen Townsend and White Sulpur Springs, in Helena National Forest. This trail is suitable for cross-country skiing and/or snowshoeing. A wonderful "known only by the locals" location in the Big Belt Mountains.

The trail begins just off of the highway and continues up to Skidway campground (1.5 miles). This is a good turn-around point, however, by following the forest service roads, it is possible to summit the small mountain which lies to the southwest (9 miles).
