The Stone Altar was placed when the church was built in 1960.

Unfortunately, the altar was placed so far in the back of the sanctuary, that the congregation has a hard time hearing words spoken from behind it, without a PA system. Made of dark granite, the top is polished to a mirror finish, but the sides are left rough, as was the style at the time.
