West of Briançon, in Serre Chevalier, Salle les Alpes, on the chapel of Les Pananche hamlet, was an old faded, effaced, neglected sundial attributed to Zarbula. It is Zarbula's style but a poor example of his art. Rough structural repairs to the corner of the chapel destroyed the left side of the dial face. There was no gnomon, no date, no signature. Like several others in the area, this dial was overdue for restoration.

When I visited the site 13 May 2015, I found the sundial had been restored as part of the renovation of the chapel. The pictures show this is an excellent restoration, recovering what could be from the original but not adding imagnined details.
Sundial Type: Vertical - Wall mounted dial plate
