Situated along Great Eastern Highway, a busy road leading eastwards out of the city of Perth, is this medium sized monument. The memorial is an obelisk, approximately 3m high, placed on a granite plinth, approximately 2m high.
The side of the plinth facing south, towards the main road, contains the memorial dedication, while on the other three sides are the names of the fallen. There is no clear indication as to which war the names are from, however, judging by the apparent ageing of the inscription, it is reasonable to assume that it is World War One.
The memorial was constructed by the Greenmount Road District, the precursor to the current local government authority. Dedicated May 1923.
Approximately 50 east along the main road is a community museum, with a military exhibit.
