Once your ship drops anchor in the bay of Samana you will be tendered to the city of Samana or to Cayo-Levantado for your day of exploring. The area is rustic and undeveloped. Stark poverty will great you not a diamonds international glitzy store. The people are very friendly and speak Spanish and the places you will see are things you will never forget. If you are looking for a Gucci handbag or precious stones or fashion watches this is not the place for you. If you want to see the jungle or some of the most pristine untouched beaches left in the world make your plans to come here.
